Thanks to my Foodsters’ guide, we found a new place for dinner AND lunch yesterday! Lunch was at Restaurant Shang Ri La, located at Damansara Heights (if you know where Klimts is located, this coffeeshop is at the row behind). We had really good wan tan mee (egg noodles)…the mee was really soft and springy, just enough sauce to make the noodles abit wet and slurpy. Hubby had the mee with duck, while greedy ol’ me went for shredded chicken, roasted pork AND wan tons! Very yummy. And we finished it off with a packet of rojak (mixed fruits in a shrimp based black sauce with peanuts)…apparently that stall is pretty famous for their rojak…and it was good! the sauce was thick enough to prevent the fruits from getting overly soggy, and the rojak seller gave quite alot of peanuts…which is my favourite part of the rojak, actually….=)

Dinner was at Greenview restaurant @ SS2 (near the Rothman’s roundabout). The recommendation in the Foodsters’ sounded pretty good, so we decided to give it a try. We met up with my parents there at about 7pm, and the place was already half full. My dad ordered Sang Har Meen (tiger prawns cooked in mee), butter crabs, bamboo fish and asparagus with scallops. The Sang Har Meen won the best dish, hands down. the prawns were fresh, the mee was fried till crispy, and the gravy was absolutely delicious. The bamboo fish was a disappointment though…it had the texture of chewing gum that has been chewed for too long! The butter crab was pretty good, though I never have the patience to dig out the meat from every crevice! Hubby and my dad seemed to enjoy it as well…they were busy digging out all the hidden crab roe…ewww. We finished off the meal with a huge serving of ice cold longans and honey sea coconut….what a nice end to a good dinner! The dessert was not overly sweet and they were very generous with the longans and honey sea coconut. The bill came up to RM315…not too expensive considering we had tiger prawns and crabs and all…=) We left stuffed and happy…and unfortunately, hubby and I had to forgo plans to seek out the famous ‘Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa’ for supper. But, maybe tonight….
