Hubby attended a seminar yesterday organized by Visa International and since it ended at 5pm, we were able to catch a movie at GSC @ Midvalley last night. The only show that looked remotely interesting was Bewitched, starring the lovely Nicole Kidman and funnyman Will Ferrell.

While the basic idea of the show was pretty good (the show was about Will Ferrell’s character finding a star for his upcoming remake of Bewitched…yup…a show within a show), I found the storyline and dialogue to be rather disappointing. Will Ferrell’s character Jack Wyatt is so irritating that I just wanted to smack him with a broomstick. Hard. And while Nicole Kidman as Isabel Bigelow looked gorgeous as always (just love the sweater and white shirt combos she wears in the show!), what’s with that breathy ditzy voice?!? All in all, not a show that I would pay to watch in a cinema…I expected a sweet romantic comedy (after all, it’s by Nora Ephron, who directed Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail and When Harry Met Sally!) and ended up watching a light, fluffy, no-substance show. What a let-down.
