A quick update
Yayy! Finished my Melbourne trip entries…!
I still have about 20 entries to transfer over from my old webbie…been procrastinating like crazy. Thought I’ll do two a day. Then after that, I have to update all the old links. Then I have to transfer my recipes…argh….I knew I was getting myself into trouble when I changed to Movable Type! And I haven’t even upgraded my version yet…*pulls hair in frustration*. I’m not looking forward to doing the upgrading…cause I have no idea how to do it. It just doesn’t work when I follow the instructions…
Anyways…a quick update on what I’ve been up to since Melbourne:
1. Moshi and Moro have grown! They are no longer little bunnies…quite round now, with a little belly. It was very obvious when I brought them back from the vet after boarding them for a week when we were in Melbourne. I can no longer hold them in the palm of my hand. Greedy l’ll wabbits…whenever they see me taking out their food, they’ll be running about excitedly…and they are now big enough to rest their paws at the top of their cage when they stand up on their hind legs! Oh…and I saw Moro hop for the first time yesterday! I let both of them out at the balcony (don’t worry, it’s all concrete, no chances of them jumping off) while I was washing their cage. When I was done, I went out to watch them play, and to take some photos. Moro was running like a bunny that’s high on alco or something…and she suddenly did this hop and twirl in the air! Twice! Couldn’t catch it on camera though as I wasn’t prepared for it! But here are some photos I did manage to take of them…

2. I’ve started my drum lessons…very fun! Second class…tomorrow!
3. Watched Flight Plan. Much much better than Red Eye. But the storyline is still a little too simplistic.
4. Met up with M, pixel and WS on Sunday for tea (and to distribute some souvenirs we got for them from Melbourne). After tea at a kopitiam in Atria, we went back to WS’s place where they taught me a new board game called Ticket to Ride. Fun fun! Of course, I lost. And thanks a lot guys, for not telling me that leftover stations worth points…! *grin*
5. Bought three new books on Photoshop photo editing, tips and tricks, etc. Been trying some out on the photos we took in Melbourne.
6. Tried a new Japanese restaurant at Desa Sri Hartamas called Momotalo. It’s like a Japanese BBQ thingy…pretty good. It was a big night for me….I tried lamb and unagi (eel) for the very first time!!
7. Almost almost signed up for Salsa class…procrastinated too long…will have to wait till next month to see if they start a new class.
8. Went for a scrapbooking intro at Papier @ The Curve…thanks to M who gave me a buzz earlier to tell me about it.
9. Will be going for a cardmaking lesson, also at Papier this Friday with mvo, who’s taking off! Yayy!! Am feeling quite excited about that…it’s always fun to have a friend who is interested in the same stuff….=) And a pedi/mani after. And dinner with both M and WS. Am looking forward to Friday!
10. Found a caterpillar in my food last week. Ta-paued lunch from the mixed rice store at Lucky Garden. Luckily I didn’t bite into it. But the very sight of it made me throw up everything that went in before that though….yuckers!!
11. My ex-colleague TI (henceforth known as AudiTT) has left for Sydney to fulfill her PR requirements. She left last Saturday while we were still in Melbourne…so we had no chance to send her off at the airport. AudiTT, if you are reading this…miss you lots!!
12. Hubby’s been back at work since Monday…lucky fella, he has training today and tomorrow and the whole of next week so it’ll be a gradual return to work. After spending two full weeks with him, I feel kinda lonely again, being at home by myself. I don’t know why I’m so darn attached to him…very clingy lah…not good!
13. And something funny. Or well, irritating…depending on how you look at it. My company messed up on my unpaid leave and actually paid my salary for August. I gave the HR fella a call to inform him about it before we left for Melbourne, and one of his staff sent me an SMS asking me contact him asap. Which I did, when I got back to KL. Apparently, I had to go down to Citi to sign some form or something authorizing them to take the money from my current account. But the stupid thing is that because some amount was also deducted to be placed into my EPF account, they have to take out more money than they actually paid me. SO I HAVE TO ACTUALLY PAY MY COMPANY EVEN THOUGH I’M ON LEAVE. So BS lar.
14. Read an interesting article in this month’s HWM mag which hubby bought (oh…I never buy technie mags even though I read them. I just wait for hubby to buy it, then nick the copy…hehe…). There was a feature on blogs, and…ah…I’ll just copy out the text…:
Blogs also reveal the state of mind of a blogger and there already has been one case where a murdered blogger managed to reveal the identity of the mudrer right before he died (here). Food for thought: Over three thousand comments were added posthumously to his last post.
Being the morbid (and busybody) person that I am, I of course had to go check out his site. It’s quite eerie, in a way…you’re actually catching a glimpse of a person who has no idea what will happen to him in the next few hours…brrr. Gives me the chills whenever I think about it. Click here for the related news article, or here for the same news story in pdf format (0.2Mb).
15. Found some new blogs to read…will add them to the list I have on the left soon.
So how has your week been? =)
