…red tea ice-cream with green beans?

Oh thank god I didn’t say that aloud…the humiliation would’ve been too much to bear….=)

We went to Hideki @ One Bangsar for dinner…hubby had their Xmas/NY special set which consisted of 4 different appetizers (salad, eggplant, some weird looking clam thingy, scallops), 5 small portions of the following - deep fried chicken with sesame sauce, black pepper tiger prawns, sushi balls, sashimi, beef wrapped golden mushrooms - for the main course, rice, tiramisu cake and a glass of house wine…while I had a California handroll (ok), Gindara Teriyaki (Nikko’s better), Chawan Mushi (too hard) and….Green Tea ice-cream with Red Beans (Nikko’s better)….=)

And what did we do on our last day of leave? Woke up late…had dim sum for lunch at Desa Sri Hartamas (I forgot the name of the shop, but it’s opposite Hartamas Square…if you know which one I’m talking about, do give their ice-blended papaya with herbal jelly drink a try….it’s really good!!)…went to office cause hubby had some work to finish and I wanted to clear off my mails…went to Sg. Wang to stock up on shampoo and stuff…went to Low Yat where……

….hubby bought a NEW PHONE. Yes. N.E.W. P.H.O.N.E.

sonyericsson-w900-00.jpg Hmmppph.

He’d been waiting for the Sony Ericsson W900 to be released…and lucky him…the phone was just brought in half an hour before we arrived! Each shop was given only five units (4 black, 1 white), and the shop that he bought it from had already sold two in half an hour, and the third was already reserved! This first batch comes with a free 512Mb of memory which apparently won’t be included in the subsequent batches…and according to the very enthusiastic sales person…the next shipment will be after Chinese New Year. Well, I wasn’t very convinced that this phone was so hot until this happened: right after hubby handed over his credit card, I heard the sales person telling the rest of his colleagues that the sales manager just called and the price of the phone has now been increased by RM200. WHAT!?!?? Like that also can???

Anyways…hubby now has a new phone, and I’m dripping with envy…not because I like this phone (I mean, it has all the features and everything…but it’s sooo huge)…it’s cause he has a new toy to play with and I don’t…*pout*. I’m still waiting for the RAZR V3x…though I have a feeling I won’t like Motorola’s interface. So, we’ll see…

In the meantime…I’ll just have fun playing with hubby’s phone’s rotating cover and 2 mega-pixel camera…*click click*….

My holiday so far…

Thu, 29 Dec 2005, 03:56 pm

Sunday - lazed around, recovered from Saturday night’s four-hour Dungeoneer game, dragged ourselves to 1U for dinner…

Monday - woke up late (what else is new?), rushed over to 1U…waited 30 mins for a parking space, watched The Promise (sucks), window-shopped, saw Michelle Yeoh at some exhibition thingy, went over to Matthias Cafe @ Bangsar for brownies and ice-cream (not nice), went to play badminton, ate at the food court, washed the bunnies’s (is this grammatically correct?) cage, watched The Wedding Crashers (stupid), hungry-ed, went out to Hartamas Square for hot dogs at 1am…

Tuesday - woke up early (surprise!), went shopping at KLCC (me - hubby went back to office), picked up a sea-green Guess halterneck top and a bracelet, and a chocolate brown MNG top that was on sale (yay!), replenished my SKII stuff (and found out that the ‘buy RM100 get RM10 voucher’ promo ended on Sunday…darnit!), headed to The Lab for a haircut (him) and perm (me), where I emerged three hours later with a head full of bouncing curls and RM500 poorer, dropped by at Cats Whiskers, tried some dresses (too big), bought two pairs of dangly earrings (yay again!), dinner at a seafood restaurant with parents and grandmother and two cousins who were down from Penang (good food!), went ice-cream hunting at Plaza Damas (none cause the shop wasn’t open), ended up at Baskin Robbins @ Mont Kiara, watched another movie (The Exorcism of Emily Rose - scary!!)…

Wednesday - woke up late (again), grocery shopping at Bangsar Village, lunch at 1920 (the food quality isn’t consistent…spaghetti and bruschetta didn’t taste too nice this time round), followed hubby around to pay his bills, pottered about at home, played with Photoshop, got dressed, headed down to KLCC for dinner, Zouk Mambo Jambo, maggi mee goreng at 3am (gonna get fat fat fat!)…sleep!

Today - woke up late…been vegetating in front of the compy since…=))

What a great night!

Sun, 25 Dec 2005, 02:54 pm

Hubby and myself attended a Xmas pot-luck gathering Pixel’s place last nite…so fun! M, WS & WL were there as well…and between the 6 of us, we’d prepared/brought tons and tons of food (70 sticks of satay…thanks, WL!! *grin*) which we didn’t manage to finish in the end!! We ended the night with a game of Dungeoneer that lasted four hours…woohoo! Hubby and I got back home at about 5+am, slept at 6+am and lazed around in bed till…now! =))

More on the party later…and photos too!

And special thanks to Pixel for hosting it, and mvo for the LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY pressies…thanks so much!!
