It rained in the morning, so luckily for us, the night was cool and dry!

The setting:
Vanilla scented candles, daisy petals, tealights scattered around the area, fairy lights on the nearby bushes

14 of hubby’s colleagues + us!

Appetizers:
Butterhead lettuce, cherry tomatoes and red seedless grapes salad
Basil & rocket leaves with bocconcini and olive oil

From Mr. Ho’s:
Pork sausages
Chicken sausages
Cheese sausages
Lamb sausages
Beef slices
Lamb cutlets
Tiger prawns
Stingrays
Chicken wings

Foil wrapped Portobello mushrooms with garlic and olive oil

Desserts:
Cream puffs with custard filling
Bangkok Kaya - vanilla sponge cake with coconut and coffee agar agar

Watermelon, honeydew, pineapples with mint sugar

Beer (thanks, guys!)
Chivas (thanks, guys!)

The games:
The person who draws the highest card from the deck drinks! And the lowest card. And those in between. And the second highest. And the second lowest. Needless to say, everyone drank!

The bbq ended with a water gun shootout between CM, K & S, with many victims caught in the crossfire!

The aftermath:
The night culminated in a card playing session that lasted all the way till the wee hours of the morning. The next morning, after 5 hours of sleep, hubby and I dragged ourselves out of bed (well, hubby did…hehe…) to clear the tables, wash up and move all the stuff back upstairs. Aching muscles, indeed! But it was a fun night….thanks alot for coming, guys (and thanks for the pressies, too)!! =)

Sometime way back in August, TI, A & myself had a sleepover at KC’s new house (well, I didn’t sleepover coz I had something on the next morning). We left the office at 5pm on Friday and made our way to KC’s place. Each of us had brought something for dinner…A & KC prepared the salad, TI made pork chops, and I made blueberry pie and crepes.

We were given the grand tour by the proud houseowner (her house is incredibly neat and tidy!!!), after which, we trooped into the lovely kitchen and began preparing our dinner. Yes, I flipped pancakes that night! And TI cooked!! *grin*

Dinner was a riotous affair…we had pancakes with pork chop, pancakes with salad, pancakes with ice cream thanks to TI’s overly imaginative and creative food combi skills! The pork chop tasted marvellous, and the salad was yummy with the grapes thrown in.

After dinner, the three girls went to bathe, while I looked through KC’s wedding albums. Once they were done (and SOMEONE took a very very very loooooong time!!), we started work on the jigsaw puzzle they’d given me for my birthday. It was not a big one, but boyyy…we took ages and ages working on it! In between, we had blueberry pie and photo taking sessions…luckily we managed to finish the puzzle just as my parents came to pick me up!

Well, I don’t know what went on after I left…but…sigh…I really miss both TI & A, now that they’ve left Citi! Hope we have the opportunity to do this again…maybe in Sydney?!?

Hubby and I are having a BBQ party tomorrow for his colleagues. We’ve spent the past few day’s buying stuff, ordering food, cleaning the apartment…*blush*…=) Should be a blast…fingers crossed that it won’t rain tomorrow (no, I’m not singing…)…more updates after!
