GSC online ticket purchase

Fri, 03 Feb 2006, 06:39 pm

Oh goodie! We can finally purchase tickets online to watch movies at GSC. Too bad it’s only at One Utama, but it’s a good start! You get to select your seats too…super-cool! Head on over to GSC Online to buy your tickets, people!

Btw, for those who didn’t know…I’m super anti-TGV. Bad seats, bad service, rude counter staff, lousy toilets…sucks.

Some idiots

Fri, 03 Feb 2006, 06:26 pm

Some people are right idiots.

The nearest entrance/exit from the KLCC car park to my office is the one that leads to Jalan Tun Razak or Lorong Binjai. To get back to Citi, we have to keep to the left-most lane when we exit the car park to turn left into Lorong Binjai (this lane is solely for people turning left). The other three lanes leads straight to Jalan Tun Razak. Well, M’sian drivers, being M’sian drivers, ignore all matter of traffic rules/signs/etc (in fact, at this rate, we might as well not sit for driving tests!), and would happily wait on the left lane even though they are going straight. It wouldn’t matter if the traffic light for those turning left doesn’t turn green first, but it DOES! So, what happens? The people who want to turn left have to wait behind those idiots who hog the wrong lane and refuse to move because they want to go straight. Argh. This has happened to me so many times that I’ve given up honking the car in front because I know those stubbon a-holes just won’t move! Gah!

Anyways, two weekends ago, we were on the other lane (going straight), and again, there was one car happily hogging the turn-left lane. Haha…this time, I had my phone with me and quickly took a snap! See…the traffic light is green and that stupid car is still stationary…bl**dy idiot.

CNY gift boxes

Fri, 03 Feb 2006, 03:28 pm

For the past two years, I would usually buy boxes of pineapple tarts for my office colleagues during Chinese New Year. This year, I decided to do something different…and *lightbulb on*…got the bright idea of making gift boxes instead of just giving cookies.

Hmm.

So…

…12 boxes of pineapple tarts, chocolate chip, white chocolate covered raspberry + almond + raisins and cornflake cookies from Mozz Cato @ Bangsar Village…
IMG_2392.jpg

…22 sheets of dull gold, maroon and pink wrapping paper and 5 rolls of maroon ribbons from Paper Boutique @ Midvalley…

…1 coil of bronze thin wire from Homefix @ 1 Utama…

IMG_2397.jpg

…2 boxes of fortune cookies from Giant @ 1 Utama (I went crazy hunting for the fortune cookies…I couldn’t find it anywhere…so I literally screamed for joy when I finally found it in Giant….and wailed in frustration a week later when they started selling it everywhere)…

…5 packets of milk sweets (you know, those white ones with rabbit pics printed on the wrapper) from Village Grocer @ Bangsar Village…

IMG_2406.jpg

…34 gold boxes, 2 pink boxes, 3 piggy boxes, 2 pink teddy bear boxes and 1 brown teddy bear boxes from Midvalley, Avenue K and 1 Utama (I literally wiped out all the gold boxes from the stores I went to…and it still wasn’t enough, that’s why I had to mix it with pink coloured, piggy and teddy bear-covered ones!)…

…1 hour at Papier @ The Curve to buy stamps, bratz, flowers and paper…

IMG_2402.jpg

…EQUALS…

2 nights of folding boxes…

…2 days of wrapping cookies, getting papercuts, stuffing the boxes (thanks, hubby!), cutting ribbons (thanks, hubby!), tying ribbons, making little cards…

…EQUALS…

…pressies for my colleagues…

*Tired*

Never again…though I have to admit that the satisfaction of seeing all the boxes wrapped up in pretty bows was worth missing a repeat of Spiderman 2 on Astro…=)

Oooo…and hubby’s colleagues bought us a lovely lovely hamper in return…thanks a mil, peeps!

Still in Ipoh…and having fun!!

Wed, 01 Feb 2006, 05:31 pm

Darn it.

I was halfway editing all my photos in Photoshop when the darn program hanged on me. All the photos I’d edited for the past one hour is gone, gone GONE! Argh!

My ex-boss used to say that good things happen to good people…so conversely, bad things happen to bad people, right? Well, I knew I shouldn’t have…but I curi-curi used other people’s broadband connection…tee hee…but what could I do? I haven’t surfed net, checked email, etc. for the past 4 days…just couldn’t resist it…

Anyways…Ipoh has been great. We spent Monday visiting friends (YW & B, your baby is gonna grow up to be a heartbreaker!!), eating, eating, and eating…hehe…and we ended up at Y2K with KK & wife & I & J…pics of us doing silly stuff with glowsticks later….

Yes…we’re alive and kicking in Ipoh!
IMG_0461.jpg

And yesterday was spent…yes, more eating…and woohoo…gambling! And we’ll probably have another session tonight too…goodie…hope I can recuperate my losses…RM69 only lar…not that much…phew!

So good food, good company…and lots of quality time with hubby…=) Hope your CNY was just as good!
