superman.jpgBrandon Routh is sizzling hot. Talk about chiselled good looks. *swoon*

Superman Returns turned out to be less of an action movie than I expected, but I still liked it. I grew up watching Superman I and II (the other two can’t be seriously considered as Superman movies!!), and Superman was my childhood hero (I’m not ashamed to admit I like men in tights!). So being able to watch this, in a sense, ‘remake’ and hearing that familiar theme song gave me serious goosebumps this afternoon.

The only possible complaint that I would have about casting Brandon Routh would be that he looks a tad bit young compared to Christopher Reeve in the first two Supermans. And while Kate Bosworth is definitely prettier than Margot Kidder, her (Kate Bosworth) Lois Lane certainly wasn’t feisty enough. Kevin Spacey, however, was spot-on casting for Lex Luthor. And I loved the way they inserted the now-famous phrase of “It’s a bird, it’s a plane, etc.” into the dialogue!

But like a friend said…good or bad, I would watch it anyways, though luckily it was the former rather than the latter, IMHO. And I would’ve thought that this movie would’ve been billed as the most highly anticipated summer movie, not Da Vinci Cod Code.

So do go buy your tix and relive your childhood, ie. those good ol’ days when RTM2 or TV3 used to air this show every other school holiday…hehe…=)

PS: We sat next to a couple of annoying idiots today. Super jakun idiots who sat in row D who totally deserves to lose their voice and their mobile phones. A guy who sat in row E11 who was sniffling away the whole time (if I catch your flu bug, I’m gonna bring down some colorful curses on your head). And a family who sat somewhere between E7 to E10 whose stupid brat was making so much noise and running about the cinema. Sigh.

That’s why, darling, you should go buy dvds and watch in the comfort of your own home…. :)

I KNOW!!! I just cannot stand adults who bring kids into the cinema. It is so the adults fault! Kids have a short attention span!

I stated my opinion on this once last time and this super bitchy mom told me that I was being unreasonable and that she’s so lucky she moved to Australia with her family where she didn’t have to put up with people “like me”.

I say, thank god for that!! Move somewhere else to terrorise their cinemas with your kid running around so I can enjoy my cinema experience!

Now, if there was only some way to get rid of those annoying people who like to chat on their mobile phones during the movie….
