Spending Saturday alone
I woke up this morning at 5+ am thanks to hubby’s alarm clock ringing incessantly. *Someone* was too lazy to get out of bed! I got up to iron his treasure hunt t-shirt that was just washed yesterday (I was half asleep…it was a lucky thing I didn’t burn it!), and then it was back to bed while giggling at hubby’s reluctance to get ready. Went straight back to slumberland as soon as he left only to be awoken at 8.30am with an SMS from him asking for help with one of the treasure clues. Since I had to get up for gym anyways, I got up and ended up spending 20 minutes surfing through Google for the answer…couldn’t find it though!
Left for gym at 9.40am. The roads were clear, and there were ample parking spaces at Midvalley. Gym was tough today…probably because I copped out the last two times…*grin* Today we concentrated on arms and abs, or rather, the lack of abs! Dropped by at Village Grocer on my way home to buy stuff for dinner tomorrow…figured hubby’ll probably be tired by the time he get back, so I must as well just cook. Am making mushroom soup, roast chicken and apple pie for dessert!
Got home, had leftover chicken mayo sandwiches for lunch while watching SATC. Was supposed to drop by at Plaza Damas to spend the afternoon at Strands and to watch the dog grooming competition that was supposed to be held there today…but I was so tired from gym that I ended up lazing on the couch after my bath with an ice-cold face mask on while watching more SATC episodes! And I fell asleep halfway through…luckily I set the alarm though!
By the time I got up, the sky was dark and it was raining outside. I could’ve done with more sleeping time, but I had to get ready for dinner with my parents at Rakuzen. Dinner was good…I really like the food at Rakuzen, especially the pickled cucumber and their hand rolls…very yummy! And this time, I had space for a Citrus Sorbet…yummy yummy…ice cold, with orange peel and just a tad bit sour. Me want more!
Am back home now with the whole night ahead of me. I kinda enjoyed just pottering around in the house today…doing my girlie stuff, hogging the tv…and besides, I really really needed the rest! Even after my afternoon nap, I’m still abit sleepy right now!
As for tomorrow, I plan to make the pie in the morning, and I have a pedicure lined up at 1pm. By the time I finish, hubby’ll probably be home…hopefully with some prizes to share with me…
I really miss going on treasure hunts though…I remember the first two hunts we went on when we were in Citi…J would bunk over the night before, and we’ll be busy buying food and preparing sandwiches. We’ll be all panda-eyed the next day, but it was so fun! I miss the atmosphere of being at the meeting point with all the other cars, sticking the car stickers, wondering what questions we’ll be getting, what treasure we have to buy. I miss trying to decipher the clues, and the after-effects of the hunt where we’ll still be looking at shop signage even a few days after the hunt. *pout* Hopefully, my company will have it’s own treasure hunt…or hubby’s company will include us poor spouses the next time round!
Off to take a shower and get into my most comfortable and ratty t-shirt…*grin*
And boy…do my arms ache like nobody’s business. Ouch!

Yo woman!! I missed those days too!! It’s still so vivid in my mind!
- The snacks shopping the nite before, in case we die of starvation in some small tiny weeny town!
- Me, the “christmas tree” in front of the TV, with Eeyore as my companion for the nite, in case someone tries to kidnap me, I’ll use Eeyore as a trade! hehee..
- Waking up at some god-forsaken hour just to rush down and be the 1st car, which usually will be taken by some extremely Kiasu teams! Grrrr…
- Trying very hard not to be lost and to act cool around everyone else!
- Hiding our satisfied grin when all our clues are completed and trying to shield our answers from LCY (I still remembered!) and pointing him to the wrong way! Heheheee.. all this for giving us so many requests at work! ;P
- Finding the hotel/chalet to rest our tired brains and body! And out again for food in the evening!
- The next day, visiting more local shops and buy buy buy before heading home, with poor Eric driving and the rest of us sleeping our butts off!
I SOOOOOO MISSED THOSE DAYS!!!!!
