Jewelry class: lesson 1 (L3)

Wed, 20 Sep 2006, 05:11 pm

Actually, Tuesday’s class was supposed to be the final lesson of level 2…but I begged Derek to let me skip that class and go right into level 3…*grin*

In this class, we learnt how to make a ring using really really thin and pliable wire. Apparently, the same technique can be used to make a tiara! It wasn’t hard to do, but you really have to be careful with the wire…at one point, it poked a little tiny hole in my finger…ouch! The picture doesn’t really show the wirework very well though…

    Hi Fiona,

The classes are at Strands Gallery at Plaza Damas. I think the course is RM360 for Level 1, RM380 for Level 2 and RM400 for Level 3. They give you a certificate at the end of Level 3 if I remember correctly…

Err…no lar, haven’t tried selling, just gave to friends.

Do try out the classes if you’re interested…! And good luck with changing professions… :-)
