I’m not a person who can write good reviews. I can’t talk about the writing style or prose or how the…see…I can’t even think of the right words.
So I won’t.
Simply put, this is a heartwarming (true) story about Marley, a golden Labrador Retriever and his family, the Grogans. It’s written in a first person account by John Grogan, a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and owner of “the world’s worst dog” and details Marley’s life from a young exuberant puppy to a old (but still exuberant) ’senior citizen’. And as a person who has always yearned for a dog, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book…it’s amazing how much your life can change with an addition of one not-so-little furball.
For those who’ve read the book (and know me well enough)…yes, I did cry buckets at the end.
Two thumbs up, definitely!
