John Tucker Must Die

Ahhh…finally. A juvenile flick for my juvenile mind. Told ya I can’t appreciate arty farty shows…*grin*

We made an impromptu decision to watch this show tonight, and despite my flagging energy levels post-work, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Jesse Metcalfe (hot gardener from Desperate Housewives) is balm to my tired eyes, and while the movie was reminiscent of the usual teen flicks, this one somehow struck a right note and balance between substance vs. silliness.

If you’ve watched the trailer, you would’ve seen the short scene of John Tucker wearing a G-string…well, it’s just as hilarious in the movie…everyone in the cinema was laughing! And though there has been many movies with a similar storyline of girl pretending to be someone she’s not to get the guy complete with dramatic showdown at the end, etc…Brittany Snow and Jesse Metcalfe managed to inject some real emotion in the show…they were believeable in their respective roles as used-to-be-invisible Kate and super-alpha-male John.

And wouldn’t we all want someone like John Tucker to wine and dine us just once in our lives?

Thumbs up. It’s good fun, do go watch!
