Breakfast @ Delicious
Hubby’s still reading the paper, so I must as well continue blogging while waiting…

Sunday breakfast at Delicious @ Bangsar Village is something we indulge in once in a while. It never ceases to amaze me how many people this little cafe packs in! On a Sunday morning too!
Today, we saw Dato’ Alan Tong, Malaysia’s Condo King, and his son, NK Tong and family having brunch there (two tables…one for the adults, one for the kids and maids!). Next to us were two gay men…one of them ordered eggs with hash browns (I think) and ricotta and something else, and when the waitress repeated his order, he shot back…’No no…the eggs with hash browns first, then the ricotta later. NEVER TOGETHER’. He spoke with an accent, yet peppered his conversation with bits of Manglish…very interesting to eavesdrop on!! On our right were two hyperactive kids and their mother (who looked quite fedup and exhausted…and oh, she was carrying a really nice Coach bag!). The kids were really cute, and the elder one was asking his brother if he wanted spaghetti bolognaise or carbonara, then later, smacking his younger brother’s bottom when he became too naughty! On a table further away, there were three very sweet looking girls having brunch with one guy (lucky guy!), and on another table, a family of four meeting a couple who seemed to have just returned from a holiday laden with gifts.
And then, of course, there were the two of us…looking like absolute gluttons. Why? See for yourself!
We had…
…hot chocolate with marshmallows…

…toasted ciabatta with butter and apricot preserve…

…French toast with beef bacon and grilled bananas (each!)…

…and a side order of button mushrooms and hash browns!

Yum!

Wow! For two person, sooyin?! *hehe* You guys can really eat huh!
But Delicious is not called that for nothing right?
I was peeved by the scones in the OneU branch tho. Don’t know if it’s that particular day or all the while their scones are that bad. They served the scones with a small spoon. I now know that it’s to EAT your scones with it. Pfft. Crumbled completely. Was near throwing a fit trying to eat them. *hehe*

Geekchic: Haha…Paddingtons? Hmm…their dessert pancakes are ok, but the ones they serve as mains (the savoury ones)….not too good in my opinion!
FeR: Hmm….I think I should’ve added that my husband ate most of it…*grin* And yes, their scones are pretty crumbly, now that you mention it…I ate it when I tried their English tea thingy.

Pixelator: When was the last time you had brekkie there? The french toast is still as good! Btw, pics taken by my camera phone…not bad, eh, for a 2MP gonna-die-soon camera? At times, the photos turn out better than when I use my compact…
Sharon: Go go, must go! Somemore you stay so near! Sunday breakfast there is always nice…and if it’s not hot, or you go early enough, you can sit outside where it’s bright and cheery!

Darn, the photo quality looks very good! If you didn’t tell me it was taken by your phone, I wouldn’t have guessed.
