I’d just started a long sabbatical in July 2005 and I had so much free time on my hands that I finally gave in and turned to Movable Type for help.

I renamed my blog and set about learning how to install MT (plus some MT coding). And boy, was it fraught with difficulties or what? In my opinion, Movable Type is not the easiest software to install, especially for a newbie! Still, I finally managed to get it up and running…and that’s how always, me came about (’always, me’ was how I used to sign off my emails to hubby back at uni so I felt it would be a nice name to use!).

Along the way, I toyed with the idea of setting up another site on food/baking/cooking but that idea died a quick death as it was just too much trouble. Furthermore, the free version of MT at that time only allowed up to three websites to be set up. I eventually used one to create my photo gallery, Photoblogum…that too, took quite some time, tears, blood, sweat, etc.
