A mini shopping spree

Fri, 08 Jun 2007, 07:25 pm

After a long overdue pedicure this afternoon at OPI @ BV2, I headed over to Midvalley as I wanted to use my “credit note” from Folli Follie.

I made a quick stop at Topshop to check out their new Kate Moss collection…ho hum…nothing that I really liked, plus, there weren’t many designs/items to choose from. Ended up buying two leggings and two very short shorts though. [Note to self: short shorts to be worn at home, abit indecent to wear out... ]

Next stop: Folli Follie. After browsing around for a good ten minutes, I finally settled on a pair of silver dangling earrings. I still had to top up $$$ though. It’s probably going to be my last time purchasing stuff from there…I’m deeply disappointed with their service.

After paying for my earrings, I went over to MNG to see if there were any new arrivals. I ended up spending almost an hour there… …and left after buying a printed purple top-thingy. Yeah, top-thingy coz I’m not sure if it can really be called a top…it’s one of those baggy, tight at the top and bottom, silky, shapeless…things. Will take a photo if I remember to since I’m so bad at describing stuff…

After MNG, I wandered into Lewre where I saw a pair of gorgeous red heels. I really REALLY wanted to buy it, but the size just wasn’t right as it was abit loose for my right foot. I suppose I could probably get those padding thingies to stick at the back of the shoe…hmm…will have a think about it as the heels are not exactly very cheap! [Cheaper than Aldo, though...can anyone tell me why those stilettos at Aldo are so freaking expensive?!?]

Naf Naf was having a clearance sale, and I managed to pick out quite a sizeable amount of clothes to try. As always, all the shorts were too big for me even though it was the smallest size…*fedup*. I could actually give it a tug after buttoning up and it would slip right past my hips and down to the floor… . I seriously don’t understand these sizes…a pair of jeans from MNG in the very same size would probably have me sucking in my tummy trying in vain to button it up…*puzzled* Anyhoo, I ended up buying two t-shirts from Naf Naf…and yes, these two tees fit. Like a T. Hehehe…sorry, couldn’t quite resist that lousy pun.

Final stop…Vincci. I desperately needed a pair of white heels as my old ones were, well, no longer white… As with most of my shoes, I wanted it strappy, and I wanted it high. Unfortunately, the very one that I was eyeing at was the final pair, and not in my size either, so I settled for two pairs of white strappy, but not very high, heels.

Finally left Midvalley close to 5pm with quite a few shopping bags plus Tai Thong’s char siew buns for a tea-time snack. And quite abit poorer, I should think.

Wow, you call THIS a “mini” shopping spree, huh?? This is when Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” is proven pretty right!

ooooh i bought short shorts from the kate moss collection too!!! had to take a while to convince myself my thighs didn’t look very fat in it! i plan to wear it out, although i have no idea where yet. indecent ah? ish. don’t care :P will just make sure i wear a non slutty top to tone down the look.
don’t you find the cut of the clothes in the kate moss collection a bit big?
oh and they’re supposed to bring in new stuff every thursday (KLCC outlet). i’m waiting for the white dress that selma blair wore! it’s hot!

and er…i don’t like aldo. for that price, i think you’re better off buying nine west or pedder red. :D hehe my 2 cents!!

Tsulin: Errr… …ok, next time I’m not listing down how many things I bought…hahaha…

Carrot: No la, girl, I didn’t buy the shorts from the KateMoss collection. The ones I bought were casual cotton ones, the material’s like gym-pants, very comfy! I didn’t even try any of the clothes from the KM collection coz I didn’t see anything that I really liked.

Ah, I know which dress you’re talking about…the white ‘prom’ dress right?

MeiyeN: Haha…ya man, one pair from Aldo = 5 to 6 pairs from Vincci!

    Lotsofcravings: *grin*…no, not really…

I read similar article also named A mini shopping spree, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
