i loovve..."Elena - week 23
Most exciting news of the week? She flipped!! Yes….back to tummy! 
Other than that, there’s not much to update this week other than a very scary and heart-stopping incident one night where Elena cried so much that she vomited! And of course, she cried even more after she vomited. I was so worried that she couldn’t breathe as she was crying so much she started coughing! She cried and cried till she was all red and her eyes were swollen… 
However, for the first time, I really really felt the strong bond that I have with her. Not even my mom could stop her from crying, but when I carried her and talked to her, she calmed down and stopped. Gosh, after witnessing that incident that night, it was so hard to leave her and go to work the next morning!! All I wanted to do was to hug and hold her the whole day and night. Luckily, she was not worse for wear the next day and was back to her sunny self in no time. I have no idea what triggered that incident…my guess is that she was tired and cranky and hungry at the same time.

Finger-sucking still continues on with a vengeance…

She can lift her head up quite high now, but not for long though…
Can’t believe it has been 5 and a half months already…gosh, another two weeks and we’ll be able to start her on solids! So exciting!!

Hi Sooyin, I came across your site while researching on CD, and I must say your little girl is beautiful! I am a new mummy too - my girl is 8 mths old today
I noticed Elena has some very nice dresses on. I am looking for some dresses (with light weight fabric) for my baby - she gets all hot and sweaty easily. Do you know where I can get them?

I bought most of Elena’s dresses from Gap. Some of the dresses you see are actually loose tops meant for babies age 12-18 months but they fit Elena well as dresses now… 
It also means I’ll get to reuse them when she gets older…haha! Gap often has sales, so keep an eye out…at the last round, Gap was having a 30% storewide sale with 20% on top of the discount if you purchase >3 items! Don’t know if it’s still on but you could go check it out…

hi sooyin.. ur babe is so cute.. juz 2 ask.. u got d mothercare bumper rite? u bought d cot bed size or what? what was elena’s cot size? sorry.. asking so many question. btw, i’m rina from kk, sabah n soon mum-2-b in less than a month. my due date is on d 21 sept. now preparing n completing my baby’s cot accessories. n also d windchime, what brand did u bought? i also checked d tiny love stuff but i dun think they r here in kk. hope 2 hear reply from u

Alana: Congrats and hope you have a safe delivery! Yup, I bought the mothercare bumper. It’s half the length of the cot, not the full length. The cot size is the standard size..I think it’s 28′x56′ if I remember correctly. The windchime is from ELC’s Blossom Farm range.
