The ambience was lovely (truly brimming with and old English charm!) and the roast pork was to die for But that’s as good as it got.

I must’ve gone on a bad day perhaps but the service was slow, unfriendly, and quite a huge dissapointment We were seated quickly but was soon left to gaze and wait for *the menu*. It would be a good 15 minutes before it arrived. AND THEN, we had to wait longer still for them to take our order. Three waiters were on hand that night (two of whom were hopeless and understood little english). After making our order, the starters came quick but it would take nearly AN HOUR before our mains came

Upon checking with the waiter we realised that they had forgot our order ! To make things worse their supposedly unique baked eggs was badly burnt on top and truly watery inside. We asked if that’s how it usually is, and he replied yes.

Perhaps they were better in May when you went but they’ve clearly gone backwards since then, spoiling the experience in an otherwise gorgeous location

Why don’t you check out the movie review before you buy the tickets? You are a good movie critic, you can consider doing it as your side-job.
